Sorry, was not boasting of my riding skills, I failed to mention that I did it both ways on the trailer and riding with hood off. I thought maybe at speed I would find something out. I will go over all wires again tonight and see if I find anything. I read somewhere to check the crank seals ?

Brand new coil and plug wires, and if I can't ride my ski on the bay with the hood off and not sink it, I should trade it in for a couch

For charity last May, we did a trip from Ocean City, Maryland to Belmar, N.J. in one day. That was 175 miles in open ocean. Myself and another friend on superjets and two others on sit-downs. But on this trip we will spread it out over a few days a try to catch as many sights as possible.

Thanks for advise Things were not as bad as I thought. My bendix came apart and the pieces wedged in with the stator, locking up the motor. Thankfully it looks as though I won't need a complete rebuild, but thanks for the info, Mike
