    Freestyle Backfloppin!

My son and I had a lot of fun last weekend flopping around. Good times!

    Freestyle Backflip Progress

I land maybe 1 of 10 off my own wake now and it's a b!tch, but a lot of fun! Keep at it, you're gaining on it at a high rate of speed.

    Custom/Hybrid need diy repitch

It's like bending a wire over and over. It gets softer. Impros says the same thing only re pitch 3 times max. Although knowing my luck, you were being sarchastic and I misread it and choked lmao! Also you can only re pitch so far off of your root angles as I understand.

    Custom/Hybrid need diy repitch

The guy that re pitches for me also mentioned that the prop will start to soften after 3 bends (re pitches) Food for thought.

    Tuning for elevation changes?

I'm also at 5,000' and it sucks the ponies right out your motor. It may also depend on your carbs. I can easily dial my FS 48's from here to 200' just by adjusting the screws. It might not be spot on, but it's so darned close. They take adjustments nicely. I can't remember what the reason was...

Freestyle What compression testers are acceptable?

I compared my Lisle to a buddies freshly calibrated snap on a few weekends ago at the lake and I'm still spot on. Feeling lucky!!! It's a long reach too, so I'm feeling happy to finally know exactly where my motor is at.

Other Prop/Pump tuning after swap to a lighter hull?

As time goes on, you'll be amazed at how much power can be added by tuning your pump. There's so much to it and it's all fun learning it. One step at a time though and keep notes. As stated above. Your pump seal has to be tight and free of leaks first. Then prop up a bit. Luckily for me a buddy...

Flat water flip guys. What's your most frequent fail?

It does feel awesome when you stick one that requires no skill to ride out of. I pulled two of those this last weekend and a crap ton of inconsistent ones lol!! One of my issues now is getting a consistent set up wake. Still playing with different wakes. Just keep at it. Literally the more you...

Why have a builder build it?

I'm like Hink on this. It's not that I'm afraid to do the wrenching, I actually like it and like learning it. I'll rebuild stockers, but will leave my high dollar stuff in the hands of the builder. It's all the little details they know and perform that add up to a badass product. I could bolt it...

Daytona Jet ski zone Arthur swell

Nice pics and riding! Looked like a blast.

Flat water flip guys. What's your most frequent fail?

I'm 45 and still huckin it. Flips are softer landings than 360's for me. Well not always... Landing flat is rough on everything. I had a flat landing a couple weeks ago and just collapsed on the top of the ski. Little bruise on the knee cap was all. But honestly once you start going for it, you...

    BOB questions

Had a lot of fun on my sons G2 carbon and my G3 carbon, but absolutely love the Hurricane. Ride some different hulls first and see what you think. Do some figure 8's at different speeds. That's always a good way to get a feel for any hulls turning characteristics. My sons G2 was more stable and...

    Freestyle Affordable Power......... It's COMING

Well said FPF. I have to say I can't wait to upgrade my 964 and now that my son has rode it as well he is already saving up. I also think some failures can happen due to owner set up and maintenance? But! Eric was very interested in my setup prior to the install. He wanted everything to be...

    Freestyle Affordable Power......... It's COMING

Not sure how many Hours Zimmy has on his, but I'm sure it's a few. Mine's barely broken in at maybe 20 gallons at most and is super happy. I'm lucky to get out once a week for a tank or two. I'll do a tear down this winter, just to see what's up, but I'm very confident it's going to be golden...

    TPE 964cc

If you can, pick up some Full Spec 48's or Novi's. Although word has it the Dasa's and Thrust's are doing good as well. But FS and Novi's would be my first choice.

    701 61x full throttle bogging

Also a slim chance it might be your fuel tank check valve. Looks like an opaque white fuel filter coming out if your fuel tank. It is a one way valve to allow air in your tank as fuel is being used. But won't let fuel out. If it failed, your ski will lean out just like DAG said about the...

Super Jet Dual 38 fuel delivery problem?

Just went through a buddies carb on his b piped 61x which was freshly gone through and the diaphragm had a small tear in it, along with a sticky needle n seat. On a long WO pass it shut down on him. Other than that, the only thing I can think of would be an air leak in a fuel line, intake etc...

    Custom/Hybrid Solas 144 Mag limitations and ?'s

Although I'm at 5,000' elevation I'm running a hooker 14/19 in my solas mag behind a TPE 964. I'm very happy with it. No slipping and plenty of hit. Running standard solas cone now, but going to try the stubby very soon and see if it stays hooked up.

    SXR Hull drain system

I'm not familiar with sxr's, but if you can. Install some aluminum window screen material in front of whatever drain tube you have. Preferably in the eng compartment. It will keep any debris from the engine compartment from sticking open any type of drain. Super cheap and easy insurance.
