Backi Chan w/Dasa 1000 + the works completely submerged and rescued

I like a short tow rope for the speed of the hook up and less to worry about getting sucked into a pump. But whatever works best for you is good regardless. I installed a tow loop on the front if my ski and grabbed a stainless eye bolt from West Marine in place of my right rear pump bolt for tow...

Backi Chan w/Dasa 1000 + the works completely submerged and rescued

You guys have a good crew. The Buzzard came back for me last spring when my ski crapped out on me chasing boat wakes at CFW. Here's a pic of my tow rope. It has carabiners at either end. I wrap it around my waist twice and snap it on. Wear it like a belt. Super fast and easy to hook up skis with.

    Freestyle Open Helmet Experience Discussion

I had a Bell Bellistic and loved it, but it got to smelling pretty funky. Very happy with my 661's fit and look. It feels very light too. But I think I'm going to pick up a Lacrosse helmet real soon. Hoping to find somewhere around here to try one on first.

    Freestyle Open Helmet Experience Discussion

Wearing a 661 now. I honestly love the helmet, it just doesn't protect my face. Both times I got hit, I was separated from the ski. If it's a slow low flip It's very hard to let go, but if I hit the wake going faster and come up short, the ski oggers in and stops and I keep going forward. I...

    Freestyle Open Helmet Experience Discussion

I ride about 99.9% flatwater and have always worn a helmet. But in the last two weeks I've had a couple screw ups. They're my screw ups, but they have me considering a Lacrosse helmet. Both mess ups were flip attempts. Basically me just hucking it off of too small of a set up wake and not...

Other Injuries Due to Riding a Stand Up..

Damm you guys are taking some hits this year! Mine are weak sauce compared to yours. Here's my list from this season. Twisted ankle re injury. Broke off the very top of my shin bone landing on a rail or bulkhead on a messed up 360 landing. Cut left shin on left rail a few times from landing flat...

    rrp pipe...... what everyone's opinion

I've heard the power delivery is smoother on big motors using the PFP. The RRP hits a bit harder quicker like Jace said, making it harder to ride.

    Other Kayak shoes?

I would think that wake skate shoes would be good. I used wrestling shoes for a few years, but have been doing Vans hi tops for the last season and am much happier. And if the shore is rocky the Vans are a bit cushier than the wrestling shoes. I also wear 3 mil neoprene booties every ride...

    rrp pipe...... what everyone's opinion

I've seen a few PFP boxes blow out as well. I don't ride mine (RRP) as hard as others, but have had zero problems with anything so far.. I'm an old ass flatwater guy. For the most part mine installed pretty easy. I did have to do some creative padding, blocking etc to get the alignment in my...

Freestyle Tech Tip: Xmetal XS OG trim mod for improved handling

It does take some time and patience getting it right, but pays off HUGE. I messed one up a while back and had to run a couple days without it and it sucked.... Although it was my fault it messed up. I lube it up with vaseline before every ride now ;) And the fitment is also key.

    Freestyle Backfloppin!

The lake is at 5,000' so we're down on power a bit. My sons is a 781, PFP, 182 psi, dual 38's (going FS 48's this winter), v-force 3 reds, #0 lightened flywheel, stock cdi (enhancer burned up recently) 144 solos mag, 9/13 hooker, stubby cone. It needs more prop so we're going to a med cone and...
