:261:Both plugs cannot fire at the same time. The engine wouldn't run because the time at each cylinder is at TDC (top dead center) is different. Also about the plug wire length the ignition on my x-2 is stock and the previous owner (my Dad) did not cut the wires either. You can fallow the wires...
Since its an X-2 I have good tip. Mark your plug wires after trying this idea. Try switching the plug wires and see if it will start. This problem has happened to me before on my 88 X-2. The wires are the same length so its easy to mess things up.
Boyesen Power Reed Set $85 or
Boyesen Pro Series Reed Set which are carbon fiber dual stage for 112. Both from dennis kirk. I have the pro series and they work great.
I did a leak down test and have a leak between the base gasket and jugs what sealant should i use? leak down was 7.5 lbs after 10min and 9 psi to start.
I have a Ocean pro cylinder and the included base gasket is plastic. Should I put some sealant on the gasket? Or can I run the base gasket that came for Wiseco? I was told I had to run the base gasket maybe for squish. plastic or poly gasket 1.6mm wiseco .5mm
I guess this would change port...
thanks for the knowledge. I think my dad was running to high pitched impeller before. but any ideas on needed compression or other ski set-up would be great also.
