Well I modified the inlet of the waterbox and it lines up pretty good just need to get it welded up. Also scuffed up the epoxy in the tray but decided to touch up a few spots so I will have to wait for that to dry again, knock down the high spots and scuff it then it should be ready...
I wish I could have avoided the 2 part all together but felt it was the best option for filling the big voids left over from the polypro sheet foam. At least the skim coat of thickened epoxy should seal it up so it doesnt absorb a ton of resin when I glass it.

Thanks man yea I figured the glass wouldnt lay out very well and would get a lot of air trapped under it. Once this stuff fully cures Ill scuff it up, knock down any high spots and start the layup.

The epoxy is still tacky so I started mocking things up to layout the mounts in the engine bay. Its pretty tight with the rocker so I'm going to have to tweak the waterbox.

Cleaned up the rails and the gunwales. Going to pour some 2 part foam and shape it to fill some of the voids in the tray and then I should be ready to lay some more glass.

Yes silicone can withstand higher temps than rubber. How long of a piece do you need? If its something beyond just a coupler can you use an aluminum tube with couplers on each end?
