Blaster Help choose 1100/1200 motor for blaster upgrade

In sport open spec, yes. True mod class is limited to 800ccs like my old carbon b1. Honestly Craig, I'm shocked you haven't built a triple blaster already, lol. I have a second one going of ether as we speak that is a budget build. When I get it done, it's yours to test whenever u want. SM

Blaster Help choose 1100/1200 motor for blaster upgrade

1200 is better option for yamaha for sure. You get bigger bore and better carbs, both of which help to get you some more HP. You can make an 1100 into pretty much the same thing, but that cost extra. I agree with Tim, a rebuild would be smart, that way you can not only inspect the crank...

Other I would like to apologize to the daytona freeriders.

I totally understand, bro. There is a time and place for everything and I am sure on the sauce, this wasn't the time OR place. I heard nothing but praise for you and the event otherwise, thanks for keeping the sport alive! SM

Other I would like to apologize to the daytona freeriders.

I've known Mikey for years and he does a ton of promoting for the Jr. classes, the sport in general, etc. If kids were present and he made an a$$ out of himself, I am sure he regrets it. I don't think there is a person on here who hasn't made an a$$ out of themselves in a drinken stupor...

    Blaster NYNJA JAM Sponsons?

The NYNJA ones will allow you to lean more than the ones in the pic for sure, but just remember, the mod hulls will cavitate more than a stock hull if you lean it too far. We have a mod hull with a triple in it with NYNJAs and it turns like it is on rails. Ski looks good! Isn't that the one...

    Blaster NYNJA JAM Sponsons?

The fins mounted don't do much of anything, so we started experimenting with these blocks in varying forms and shapes. The JAM Raving sponsons completely change how a blaster turns. It probably makes more difference than any handling component ever made for the blaster. SM

Blaster Yamaha Triple B1 Conversion - What Yrs, Models, Engine Codes, Etc. for a donor?

A full limited Kawi 1100 produces more hp than a full limited gp1200. If you don't believe me, call Tim Judge, he has dyno'd them both. Don't get carried away by the factory hp numbers, as they are rarely correct. The GP1200 motor comes with better carbs and bigger bore, but the kawi has a...

    Blaster 1100 vs 1200 Blaster

The 12 vein solas will give you a little better hook up, but more importantly, you won't have to worry about breaking stock stator veins. That is an issue we have had to deal with. For 480 bucks or so, I think it is worth it. But, you could build it with the stocker for now and always add the...

    Custom/Hybrid 155 vs 144mm pump in a Blaster 1100

PM Norm 'yamabooey' over on PWCtoday, he has a blaster with a 144 and one with a 155, both triples. He also has the 951 powered blaster with a 144 that we built. He is the only person that I know of who has both. IMO, with the motors you are thinking about using, you should go 144. Joe's...

    Blaster 1100 vs 1200 Blaster

You won't have any issues with the 144 pump. Just have to prop it right. As for motors, always liked the 1200 better than 1100, at least in terms of yamaha. But, you can take you 1100, upgrade to silver 44s/intake/reeds and have a reputable builder port your cylinder and have more power...

Blaster Blaster 3 - mods for wave jumps?

Stock pump on the B3 is a 144, same as the pump in the blaster 1. The b2 has the larger pump. SM

    Blaster 1100 conversion build!

750s, 800s and 1100s are turds in stock form. But, once you set a Kawi 1100 right, they rock. The ski in the vid above was one we built for a friend, all it had was a dried out pipe, non girdled head (150psi) and some off the shelf yamaha 44s from a wrecked gp1200. It didn't have a timing...

    SXR handling for racing

Destroyer front sponsons, put them at 40 inches from the rear of the ski, not 38 like Blowsion suggests. Intake and rideplate is a matter of opinion. I personally hate the TMB ride plate unless it is modded. IMO, it puts too much downforce on the nose, which makes it work against the tubbies...

Blaster 701 INDUSTRIES MOUNTS . The Future is here

These things looks awesome. I cannot wait to see how well they hold up to the heavy kawi 1100 motor. If they can stand that big thing, they can stand up to anything. Scottie
