Yes. The ski is running off the battery till the battery dies then your riding is over until you charge it back up or swap. Total loss systems are stupid unless your trying to backflip flat water.
Almost back to normal means not normal so the friends carbs didn't fix it. I'd check compression, and the reeds, and then think about a different stator since the replacement was used just to double check.
There is only gen 1 and 2. The bottem hull is the same from 90-07 they all ride the same.
I rode my wifes gen 1 with tubbies and f'ing hate it with a passion. I like a clean gen 1 bottem hull, square nose or round nose.

I did that once. Flywheel wasn't on enough to create a good enough spark to fire the engine even though it did have spark. Had to take back apart, hit flywheel with torch and grease the crank to get it on all the way.
-The more power, the better.
-Round Nose handlepole that I could cut to fit me was a major improvement. Don't even need a new pole bracket if you can work a cut off wheel for 1.5 minutes.

I just got a set of oem 44's and manifold from a 760 to put on my SN. Sure its been bored and ported but this is great info to reference since I suck at carb tuning, glad it was brought back to the top.
