    Canadian Junk?

I now have 3 junk superjet cranks. Two are oem with blowen center bearings and one is sbt welded rebuild that is on its last legs. (Had a very good run). Shipping for the cores seems to cost more than the rebate. Located in Ontario. What do i do with them before they become rifle targets?

    The sea flea budget fix

I tuned up paint a bit and got the transom finished. Hopefully tomorrow I can sand and prime it again before final paint.

    Crazy Cold thread

haha, we had to ride in circles for a bit to break the ice so it flowed down river. It's a weird feeling putting ice though your pump. Munches it good though!

    The sea flea budget fix

I wanted to mock the motor up to make sure there was no major changes I needed to make before I got too deep into rebuilding the transom. Seems to fit good and the cut out clears when it will be turning in either direction. The transom plate doesn't fit now because I laminated the back. I'll cut...

    The sea flea budget fix

My neighbor helped me flip the hull over couple days ago so I could start the work on the top now that the bottom is done. Got to get rid of this old red paint. Tried a few different things and a good old yellow Richard paint scraper ended up being the tool. A stripping agent probably would have...

    The sea flea budget fix

Sea flea is sealed. Not my best glass job but it was a lot to do in one night. I have my kids the rest of the week after work so it had to get it done tonight.

    The sea flea budget fix

All the filling of those old brass screws is done, just a bit of sanding to do. I wanted the glass to sit nice and flat because I'm not filling it after, just going to spray it with paint. For the most part I don't care if it is a bit rough on the bottom, besides they say that adds speed anyways...

    The sea flea budget fix

I'm not sure. I have a 30hp for it aswell. I'm hoping to get it the speed up so its on the verge of out of control haha. I really think the water conditions will decide the control factor. I'm going to test in in the local river first.

    The sea flea budget fix

Haha, it's not legal, the hull isn't stock anymore. Sad thing is this 10hp boat will be way faster than your 70hp ski lol

    The sea flea budget fix

laminations done on the bond rail and the gusset wings. Turned out as good as it could have. I'm using pl premium and a air nailer for all the laminating. I use a lot of these products at work so it's free to me. I overcut all the pieces and belt sanding them to match the shapes. One step...

    The sea flea budget fix

I got the hull stripped down to bare wood for the most part. That was a task. Working a wood chisel for hours, the old resin came off like corn flakes. Whoever coated it, used hardware store resin. I could tell just by the way it smelled. That's probably why it cracked and failed. I also got...

    The sea flea budget fix

The frames are solid, just the shell is a bit rotten.

    The sea flea budget fix

I know right, such a cool little piece. I've cleaned up a lot of the rot so far. Needs some patches. I think the new fiberglass bottom should protect what's left of it while adding a lot of strength.
