So I took the pump apart this weekend... wow... look at the leading edge of these blades!! So I straightened everything out as best as I could, which is better, but still not good. But I put her in the water and damn did that make a difference. Much better. Although now the motor is really...
Thank you guys! I know impros does pump repairs starting at $95 (there is alot of damage here so maybe would cost $150-$200)... But first I am going to attempt to repair myself, like iQRTurbo said. If I really do damage, and have to buy new, Impros also sells these for $433. A new impeller or...
Hi all,
I just bought an Aquabot. I've got a JetManiac 735 in there with MSD enhancer, B pipe, and 180psi domes.
I noticed that 8 of the 12 vanes are pretty wacked. You can see one pretty clearly in this pic. Some are bent in the opposite direction. Will this cause significant loss in thust...
I prefer the pre-08. I have destroyers on it, and after a full season of learning the best way to carve with the destroyers, I can corner ALMOST as well as a stock 2008. Sometimes I wish I could rip buoys like my 2008 buddies can, but when I leave the buoy course and start throwing the ski...
Cool! If you are ever out in the CT area, let me know! The CT river can get some big boat wakes in the summer. I ride at Bashan lake if i'm not in the river. I got pretty good at 180's at the end of last summer. They're fun!
Jacob, I have ridden stock plate with NO D cut, and WITH D cut... The D cut just the nose lift out of the water for jumping, and maybe made 180's easier... but there is a slight carving disadvantage for normal free riding. I would go with a stock plate, no cut. That gives you good versatility.
VERY nice!!! I am interested to hear about your first ride! I just picked up a used Aquabot v1 with a 735. I ride a superjet in south/central CT. In the late season I launch at Barn island and ride at watch hill!
Do yourself a favor and grab a stock plate! Much better for freestyle/freeriding! I am able to do flat 180's with a stock plate, but not with my A/M plate.
9/15 hooker prop
stock ride plate
aftermarket turn plate (or do the ste nozzle mod that Sanoman mentioned)
Shorten the pole by 3 inches
No hate on the spark here. I'm sure it's fun to tool around on. BUT... I cannot stand the exaggerated, extra dramatic body language that some dudes use to get the thing to slide in a tail stand. Acting like they put hours of practice in to do that, and there is nobody cooler than them. It...
Been riding with this set up, as shown, for several weeks now (maybe 8 hours on it). It is holding up well. It hasn't loosened up on me yet. Still feels smooth. Hard cornering, subs, riding on the hood, 180 stabs, and a couple failed barrel rolls.
O I am definitely leary as well. Shaft Collars don't do well with shock load, so i'm kinda expecting it work its way down the shaft with hard landings or falls. I will update in the future. They do make threaded collars. That would work super well probably!
