Crazy! I can barely hold wot, my SF just jumps out of the water and porpoises like crazy. Even with all my weight forward. But then again it is more of a flatwater setup than a get somewhere in a hurry setup.
10 hrs to Lake Erie each year for freeride
5 hrs to va beach freeride
4 hrs to nc coast freeride
5 hrs to get first sj
5 hrs to get my SF
I would drive just about anywhere to get the freeride fix, it's work that stops me from having more time to do it
Meh, I wouldn't run the copy hull. Who knows how much work it will take to make it work, what quality it is, and oh the whole moral thing too that it's a ripoff of someone else's hard work.
There are plenty of affordable used AM hulls floating around...that's what I did, just stalked the Hulls...
Not a bad thing if you ask me. Helmets are wearable items, they need to be replaced regularly. The foam breaks down and doesn't do the job as well after a certain amount of time. Especially jet ski people...constant water/salt exposure, not to mention sun, etc.
My contacts are decent about staying on, there's usually some furious blinking going on if I take a face-first landing but they never want to come out. I do wear goggles in the surf because the salt stings. I use Spex goggles, they are fantastic. Made for water sports, they have a floating lens...
Me! I love the way the comp vests look and feel...light, easier to move in...
But, I'd like to not sink should I get knocked out, so for me it's the big ol' puffy Jet Pilot side entry...
Whoa. Thanks Matt, after seeing that pic I'm sold on which event I want to go to.
Blowsion said they will post the schedule next week, but since you're a veteran - if I only have two days to watch, should I go for fri-sat or sat-sun? I'm not riding. Even if I could bring my ski I'm not even...
I want to take a trip to spectate some serious freeriding...which would be a better trip to take - going to World Finals in Havasu or to Surf Slam in Oregon? Both look equally appealing online but I'd love first hand advice for someone who's been there.
