Focus on things that can be transferred to the next(larger) engine. Maybe Zeel, maybe good carbs/intake. Don't spend money on that motor itself.

Totally agree. I'm not going to read through 64 pages to figure out what I need to do. Would love a summary of what is needed and what is working the best as a general rule. If such a thing exists..........

I actually tap my pissers then run some stainless allen head plugs that are drilled out to desired size.

I think I have a buddy that might need them. Actually the first motor I ran these on was a “baby scream”. Xscream ported Cylinder and cases 701cc. Going from the xscream modded 38’s to these really woke it up.

What are you running them on. I have a set of A/M 44's. I believe they are Pro-tec. Came off running ski this summer and ran great with them. Have been running them for 7 or 8 years on two different motors. $200

My first gut says driveshaft/midshaft splines. As already mentioned though, make sure the prop and pump are clean. Possible a couple blew apart but that would more likely make some noise.

Why was it rebuilt? Run good before rebuild?
