I ended up buying some that someone had made. Hot Products doesn't sell spares or different sizes for the Solas pump. Skat rings won't work. I didn't call to se if the Octane ones Zig sells would work.
I haven’t GPS’d it. My guess would be 60’ish. It accelerates hard from buoy to buoy which was my objective. I bought another Hydrospace hull and am in the process of putting an SXR 800 Engine in it. Should be fun.

My money is on the new super jet being a GP1 with a different top deck. Motz and Kommander have done all the development and testing. Plus the current super jet hulls are contracted out so it’s more in line with what Yamaha is already doing. It won’t be a free ride ski for sure. It needs to...
Exhaust. I’m running a front water box and Hydros exhaust exits the left. This was what I came up with. Works pretty good.

Nope, not a Supertrap. Rick Roy Products waterbox. I can’t comment on your other questions as I did a Kawi 1100 conversion in a Hydrospace hull. Here is a pic of the style waterbox I used.

I’m running an RRP lay down pipe style water box in the nose of my Hydrospace 1100 conversion. It is compact and flows really well. Pulls like a freight train so power isn’t effected apparently.

Ended up making my own mount adapters for the engine. Used a Center Bleed chamber and RRP waterbox. Turned out pretty sweet. Best riding ski I own.

For our friends in the south east. We are having a practice day in Chattanooga on Sunday June 24th. We set up a large buoy course and ride all day. We usually have about 30 riders on stand ups and blasters. This is a great opportunity to train, tune and practice in race like conditions. Hit me...
The thing to remember with 550’s is that the newest one is from 1995. It’s going to need crank seals at minimum. They kind of snowball when you start tearing into them. The last two I’ve had have had stator/ CDI issues causing weak spark. Go through it step by step and see what you are working...
Make sure the battery is not your issue first. Many people ride all day with total loss without starting issues. You can test the charging system as outlined in the repair manual as piece of mind but, I’d rule out the battery first. Keep it simple.
