AWSA Racing - Pateros Apple Pie Jamboree July 16-18 2021

The first race of 2021 in the PNW area is coming July 16-18 to Pateros, Washington, just above the popular area of Chelan, Washington. After a tough year for racing events throughout 2021 it is great to see this event return to Pateros! Message me or comment for any info or questions, hope to...

SXR 1100 - Low speed WOT Bog

You need to pull your carbs apart and check what jets are in them as well as measure the pop off pressure. Have you done a leak down test? Has it ever ran right or is this a new issue? You can’t really go off of spark plugs showing “good mixture” because there are too many variables there.

State of the industry - 2021

The riding area accessibility is a big issue up here. Hardly any reasonable places to set out a buoy course without hassle, and the lakes only get more congested each year. I think having private riding areas is a good idea but I imagine a project like that would be bogged with endless local...

State of the industry - 2021

If I recall they had issues getting them working properly and the idea was abandoned. Perhaps I am wrong but that's the last I recall. It would be awesome to see something come of that technology.

State of the industry - 2021

With the sudden popularity of the 2021 SJ I am anticipating an industry revival/reset of sorts. It is already clear that some of the 2 stroke parts manufactures have begun to offer some really creative/innovative stuff and perhaps some of this innovation could trickle back to older...

McMaster or MSC part number for SJ steering ball/stud?

disregard what I said, I thought you were talking about the cable ends, not the attachment balls. Either way, I've noticed that some of the ball ends have longer threads and some have shorter threads.

McMaster or MSC part number for SJ steering ball/stud?

https://www.mcmaster.com/rod-ends/corrosion-resistant-quick-install-ball-joint-linkages/ Yamaha cable ends are m5x.8 threads as are most kawasakis. 2017+ SXR1500 uses m6x1.0 cable end threads. You might have better luck just sourcing a used set from a place like High Speed Industries or...

    Suggestions for a decent mtb?

I have a Kona Process 165 that I really like. You should be able to find a slightly used one for under 2k. For my next bike purchase I will go with a YT Capra. They do not have a dealer network and must be ordered via website, but if you know what specs you like they are a great deal for a...

    Blowsion vs RRP Steering Discussion

Update: Just got off the phone with Blowsion and got my primary question answered. Blowsion confirmed that their 1-1/8" steering and 7/8" steering are the SAME except for the Phat Clamp being included with the 1-1/8" system to run fat bars. The distance from pivot point to bar mount is...

    Blowsion vs RRP Steering Discussion

One thing I would like to point out is that I am not talking about the Blowsion handlepole/OVP combination. I think both of you are referring to that setup unless I am mistaken. I’m asking about running a fat bar setup using the existing 7/8 turnplate and the phat clamp versus either the RRP or...

    Blowsion vs RRP Steering Discussion

I’m contemplating upgrading my steering systems after years of using the tried and true blowsion 7/8” bearing style steering systems, kinda like the old umi systems. I have decided that I want to convert to a fat bar type steering and I see that both blowsion and rrp make full fat bar steering...
