On my SN I could not get the thing to loosen for the life of me. I removed the nuts, soaked the whole area in Kroil quite a few times, and just rode hard and beat the crap out of the SN for half a season that way. Eventually it popped loose. :)

I think the nose looks a bit SXR 800ish. Not the shape, but the black on white and the gas cap placement. Overall though the SXR800 is a lot better looking.
