I had a 19/24 solas on the ski along with a jet dynamics intake grate and ride plate and it sucked even before I had the 185psi head and MSD. It really sucked once I put a wet wolf cone on it. Zero hook up under 15mph. Needless to say, I put in the new prop and it's a worlds difference.

You should give us more info on exactly what happened, how long it ran afterwards, and check the flywheel key. It could have sheared and ran fine. Over time the flywheel could slightly move causing these issues. It doesn't really matter if he has spark. Obviously he has spark if it's...

Nope don't go a size bigger. I wear size 11 shoes. I bought size 12 boots and they were floppy. Hated it so I bought another pair, size 11. Fit perfect with the socks.

Awesome.. How is your tank vent routed? It should go out of the tank, to the water separator mounted on the left side and that's it. Get rid of the vent line going into the handlepole. My FX1 spends a lot of time underwater :) Haven't had any issues since changing my vent to the above method.

Hand tight with a wrench is all you're going to get with an HF steering wheel puller with the gas tank still installed on an fx1, maybe also a superjet. No room for a socket let alone impact. That's how I've always done mine, don't have to remove anything.

Not much. Tighten the puller by hand fairly tight, heat the center for 30 seconds or so and tap the perimeter of the flywheel and it should pop off.

Depends what you want out of it. I had a 550 that I thought was the bees knees then rode a bunch of fast superjets. Then I bought a bunch of yamahas. I didn't at the time and still don't like how big superjets feel. The fx1 is basically a 550, but harder to ride and less stable side to side...

The silica moisture wicking gopro packets seem to work well.
