Yes...I would pull the motor so you can spin the coupler by hand when your all done...should spin smoothly

Most would probably disagree with me here but I've always installed the midshaft in the hull first Then slide the pump in and install the front pump bolts Lastly Shim the rear as needed Never had a problem this way

pump alignment is #1 but to note when I went from a 9/15 hooker to a 10/16 hooker on my solas pump I did have to go out and buy a spacer to move the prop away from the veins to make it work. This was found well before the pump was installed in the ski though (just spinning the prop on by...
