if you run a square dont do it...there is always water inbetween, the foam never gets wet and soaked like on the RN, just put a drain plug in and drain the ski after riding if you are worried, the water often just sits on top of the lower foam basically inbetween the tray and foam below I cut...

If the pole has been cut at the bottom more than -2 the upper part of the SN AC pole or any SN pole will not rest within the SN hood anymore....you will have to widen the upper corners of the SN hood or leave the turf pole and corners of hood, but then the pole will not be plain with the hood...
