An FX-1 midshaft is much shorter than the SJ midshaft, but the splines are in the same location. So the net is that it would only change the motor location and nothing else....bulkhead would be the same.
Yeah....same question......We'd be arrested for riding that close to surfers here in the states, not to mention the fights that would happen before the cops got there!
Great riding! Love the re-entry roll and the surf riding! The tandem is just silly...nice work!
They're both 140mm and it will fit, but it should be machined (set-back) or it will likely be worse than what your taking out. The 650 and 750 hubs have different setbacks, but it's fairly easy for any machine shop to correct....or send it to impros.
This motor is buttery smooth!...super linear and controllable......not to mention it looks schweet!!!
BTW - clean your engine compartment for god's sake!! You should be emabarassed to post pics of such a filthy setup ;)
Yes!
I run a R&D pump cone ( I think that's what you mean by "stuffer"?) and it does help hook up, or rather it helps eliminate cavitation. I'm running a 9/17 setback skat swirl in Kawi pump.
Looks good.........but be careful that you check where the drive shaft rides on the bearings/seals. I know peeps are running this setup, but I'm not sure how. The way I set it up, the front seal lip is set back into the housing approx 16mm. Even with this setback the seal rides close to the end...
