Read a thread not to long ago about a contact adhesive remover.. Just yanked the turf off my ski and am looking to get a hold of some. Will the DAP remover work on other adhesives? I don't know what was on my ski to begin with, as I did not originally turf it. Is this stuff available at lowes...

looking for a quick source to get the gasket that goes between the exhaust manifold and the head pipe (is that what its called?) would like to see it here in MI in a couple days. anyone know where to go?

got it. i'll leave 'em. would still like to know the physics of the fuel / water seperator. I know one is denser than the other, thus the water should be at the bottom of the tank. How does the water ever end up in that tube when its at the top of the tank?

hate to keep starting new threads here... anyways, I threw a b pipe and msd enhancer on my ski last yr towards the very end of the season. kind of did a half job on it just to try it out and now that its winter I am trying to sort things out a bit, get rid of the stuff I don't need, and clean up...

also, i assume the washer stays at the bottom in there, then spring, then bendix in the hole?

installing my crispy jon ziglar supplied bendix (free advertising for jon right there...), take a look at the brass part in the flywheel, the pics are a little to decipher, but there is a swirled grove in that brass, is that normal, or did something get jammed in there and cause that? thx.

Putting a bendix in my sj, lost track of what order things go back together in. Its been apart for a couple months... As I recall there is a spring & washer that go against the case side?? Help me out. thx.

im leaning towards those tom21 footholds... i like the idea of being able to fit alot of padding in there, as I usually end up riding barefoot anyways. boris - thanks a million. last question, isn't there foam where that goes ? how did you get the hole drilled in the back and the bulkhead...

flush valve, ball valve, one way valve, idk what they call it... Blowsion makes 'em for about $100, some claim Home Depot has a pretty much identical product for $30 + some pvc to route it out the back. I am a bit hesitant to install a ball valve that could fail when it is all glassed inside.

most come with patterns on what / where to cut... correct? How do you know whether or not you are going to run into the exhaust? That's not low enough in the hull to be avoided? Only thing really tempting me to de-foam is the addition of a flush valve... worth it or no?

understood there are lots out there... Like I said, I want ones that fit the best w/o the hassle of making them fit. I ride alot but don't intend to be back flipping anytime soon, I rode a ski with holds once and liked it, thats why they are going in. In a sense fiberglass is fiberglass, next...
