I did locate this from a 750sx manual. They are calling for 75/140 jets on a cdk 40 mm, but it doesn't specifiy cdk or cdk II. Were the 750sx single carbs all small pin engines? Or did they put a single carb big pin in any skis ever?

What carb setup?

I did find a 40 mm keihnin cdk ii in my parts bin. I think It makes sense to go that route and see how she does. Any thoughts on what carb setup to run if I do that?

Points well taken. I couldn't begin to tell you what the exhaust came from.. Some other kawai sitdown p.o.s. All I know is it's purple and I was able to make it all fit with parts from a couple other exhausts I had laying around. If memory serves me correct it was a mismatch of oval vs round...

What jet sizes? 120/150 seem correct?

Thx for the offer. I really would like to stay with single carb.... I won't rule this out after a search and probably fail on finding a single carb setup tho. I'll circle back if needed.

That confirms what I've read. I want to stick to single carb as there isn't a ton of room in the super chicken, and I don't want to complicate any further then I need to. I just want reliability. I guess I'll start looking for a 40i. Next question if you know... what about running a single 38...

I've read and seen on some other threads that a 46 sbn is weird combo to be running and difficult to tune.... I definitely have some more fussing to do, but wondering if I am better to just pick up a proper carb. Hoping someone chimes in that is running this exact combo

Anyone have carb settings for this combo? Stock 750 big pin with stock exhaust, vortex flame arrestor. I can't make it run well. Tried 150 main/120 & 122.5 low speed. n/s and pop-off is unknown at this point. Runs okay on top end, but throttle it down and/or turn it off and I can't restart. Big...

Looking for something in great shape for less then the cost of new. 180 ish PSI. I want to run pump gas. Lmk what you have. Going on the 96 RN in my signature.... a 701 slightly bored and a mild port and polish with b pipe & msd enhancer. Open to criticism.

Sounds like a trip to machine shop with head, domes, jug is in order. Agree?

The o ring is melted, but I think because dome is loose under head. Head appears to be in fine shape. Look at this pic. There's a slice in the oring too, but I think that is because I carelessly tapped head and plug against toolbench to pop the dome out for pics.

Some pics attached. In response to some comments, no rust present on front of rear cylinder. That's just two strokey goo and blow by I think from dome not making contact.

Finally getting back to this and would appreciate your help. Maybe a few of these pics will explain more? I cannot see/feel any drop in the cylinders... It might look like it in a photo or two, but if anything they are raised ever so slightly. I can feel it when I run a dental pick across the...

What is strange to me is this thing ran flawlessly for a couple of seasons then it just flat out puked after sitting. I will check for the above and report back... I just haven't had a chance to get back near to my ski with proper tools in hand.
