IF KAW Get a model 1100 with CDK II's if you are planning to keep stock carbs, there are 2 conversion kits out there right now I have utilized both, they will save you lots of hassle and time, I also took several parts out of the donor hull that come in helpful for an easy conversion

what do you put on the threads prior to installing your impeller ? Do you clean them up and lube them...??
never had a problem with any of mine after I installed them , if I get oem pumps and crap oh yes tons of heat ....
on my second rebuild I just took some sandpaper and sanded it by hand, no measuring .......( throw the first rock ) the baring went in well and have approx. 50 rides on it with no problems
please check and make sure the hood actually belongs to the ski....rebuilt numerous squares and often a different hood is different in size...u might laugh but its true...therefore all hood seals will fail, especially when the hood appears to short .
Check your hood looks, if they are centered...
Most impellers received are not pitched right anyway....don't trust what you get unless u measure it yourself.....
