Super Jet 2000 SJ won't start, has great spark

If you've dumped fuel directly into the carbs, and the spark is good, You really need to check compression b4 doing a new top end. Even if it's just to know why you're spending money. a 701 with an ADA head/35cc domes should give you about 185 psi. How old is the gas? Just curious. Plugs? Get...

Super Jet 2000 SJ won't start, has great spark

"carb very clean"...It ran earlier in the year...that's a pretty big window...Did you pull the carbs and take them apart? Could just be an ethanol thing. If you had pulled the carb then you would have had a look at the needles. (hi-lo) If you checked the jets, then you must have checked the...

More Nose Stab help please. (pics)

X2. That first one is pretty much vertical....and then some. Each one does not need to be epic, or even total vert. Making the full 180 should, in my mind, be first and foremost. Nothing worse than a 90 nose-stab, with a flat landing. Work the wakes/waves you're given. Personally, I need a...

    Super Jet 2008 sj?

I won't tell you what to do. But I bought 2 brand new sj's. I'm not nearly done with mine....every bolt-on mod etc...(see my "my ski" thread) If I add it all up.....I know I have 15k into it.(including purchase price) And it's still a 701...not ported. That includes a lot of maintenance...

Super Jet Superjet steering cable - couch alternative?

Is it any less expensive? Curious because we all know how proud Yamaha is of their parts. The Kawi throttle cable works like a champ at about 1/3 the price. (and is much more heavy duty) Will yamaha to yamaha couch save any $?

Super Jet I need your help!!!!!!

If it's running good, then leave them where they are. Tuning the pipe will be a bit of a biotch. I hesitate to say where to set the screws because there has been so much debate over this subject....and I'm no expert. But I can tell you that ::: on the bone stock ski, the settings that Factory...

Custom/Hybrid what freestyle hull would you pick if you got if for free???

My fantasy was not yet complete when my wife saw the enchanted look on my face as I stared at the cieling fan blades rotating and rotating and rotating, much as I would on a Superfreak hull with all of the goodies........ When she said, "what the hell are you thinking about!" My hull of choice...

Super Jet I need your help!!!!!!

Call back...maybe they have not shipped yet. Jets are dirt cheap. Maybe the "5" could be made up with carb adjustment...but I don't know for sure. 75/135 works really well on the 2 ski's I've put b-pipes on. Maybe another member will know if 70/130 will work as well.

Super Jet I need your help!!!!!!

75/135. Depending on what and how you ride...mod vs. limited is still under debate. The mod is easier to install and remove (it's a bit shorter). You will be pleased. Tuning the pipe is a bit like tuning carbs.....Trial and error will usually serve you best.

Blaster What is safe running temp?

My '04 sj runs around 165 on the head, near the plug while rinsing. Measured with a laser temp sensor. (likely a bit cool due to psi from hose and my cooling set-up) I have dual head ports, and dual pissers, but not true dual cooling. I've been told that I'm running too cool.

    FPD's "Floatorious P.I.G"

Now...I can't get water to go in the engine compartment.....maybe if I poured a bucket-full in there, but....I'm callin' it fixed.

Matt Smith has gone to the Dark Side

Cool...but I always thought the "darkside" was flatwater riding... (it's a term of endearment....)

    Freestyle first salt water ride.

Don't forget! The freshwater washdown becomes a bit more intense after riding salt. Lightly spray down the entire engine....careful around the carb area. Blow the hose up the pump and the entire cavity around it. Don't forget to hit your pole spring/bolt area as well.

    Super Jet SN or RN?

Pole and hood. That's where the differences seem to merge. Otherwise, you can get the same out of each. Availability of parts makes the rn the choice.

    Freestyle first salt water ride.

It is true. Your ski and your body are more buoyant in salt water. However, the ski does not care what it pushes thru the pump.....fresh, salt, caramel. You had fun because ...you had fun. Sounds like a good thing to me.
