Anybody use dive boots? I found a pair of brand new US Diver neoprene zip ups at a garage sale, they look like they might work OK. At least they will keep sand out.

If the EPA has their way, and they will, eventually all 2-strokes will be a thing of the past. We now are seeing 4 strokes where 2 strokes once ruled: off road bikes outboards sit down skis weed eaters It's only a matter of time.

It was originally designed for 2 strokes, as 4 strokes I wouldn't think has much issue w/ carbon. Since the regular dosage is 1 ounce per 10 gallons, the ratio should not be affected, but a shock treatment might affect it.

I have owned many outboards, and never used any additive, but my '05 Yamaha manual sd. to use it, so I did, at least during the warranty period. I noticed it kept the exhaust/prop area completely clean of carbon, so I guess it works. I don't really see any need for it in smaller 2 strokes tho...

Agree. I tried just standing on the ski and letting it sink, but it was hard for me. The first time I did a good 180 and leaned back the ski went straight up and then back too far. A few more tries and I could do the tail stand easily. Doing it from a 180 is not hard at all, even if you are...

I have both, but the square ones "nest" better, and aren't as prone to tipping over.

If you drop a small part, how soon you find it is in direct proportion to how bad you need it, or how soon you can get another one when you can't find the one you drop. If it's a one-off part, forget EVER finding it. If you drop the only size socket you have, instead of falling at your feet...

I bought a couple of new jugs from the Kawi shop, and they are made by Fly Racing. Same jug as before but now they say "Liquid Container" gas is not mentioned, lol. But they are the same cans, just skirting around the EPA issue. VP probably did the same thing.
