    x2 pipes

I would say FP, Coffmans, and a Wescoast only if its free. PJS and R&D were very similar to Coffmans but with a sheetmetal chamber.

    Any TCW3 much over $10/gal is a rip-off.

    The impossible

My company hires only degreed engineers. Thousands of people that have neither designed nor built anything, and never will. The handfull that can actually do it end up leaving in disgust.

    The impossible

Its OK. This hobby/sport have high turnover rates for various reasons. If college is ending your participation just think about taking a job where there's no water around. Or when you have a baby and get married.

    701 cylinders in a 650?

A 650 case works very well with a 61x cyl. It just takes a few minutes with a Dremel to make room for the sleeves. Performance wise there is no noticeable difference between a 6m6 and 61x case, which is about the same as stock 38s on a 62T case. 6m6 cases will run slightly richer than a 61x with...

    Just picked up a 93 X2

Wow, thats a nice one. X2 need all the usual bolt-ons, port work and careful tuning are a big plus. Your ignition should be ok, especially if it is a 3725 box. But most importantly these skis are now old and should get a full round of maintenance before any engine mods are done.

    av fuel?

We are running our "pump gas" engines close to limits of pump gas when they are tuned correctly. Adding AVGAS is a cheap way to keep pistons from melting when the consumer uses last years gas or decides to ride in the winter without retuning the carb or just goes WOT on an empty tank.

is a gas tank one way check valve really that important...??

Dont worry about the vent valve. They tend to stick closed causing the tank to collapse. Leaving it out will let the tank vent in both directions making the water separator fill faster. Its easier to set the carb with the tank vented.

    when yamaha 61x & 62t cracks ???

Its a weak design that is too expensive for Yamaha to fix since they use a permanent mould. One of the A/M shops should get good, inexpensive replacement castings made in China. But then they would have find customers that didnt have a billet fetish.

    K to Y conversion electronics

Finding a 93-94 x2 box is the best option for a 650, they have a nice retard curve and high enough rev limit. Next best is 750 electics, they work very well if you can find a place for the box. The yamaha ignition lacks a retard curve that kawasakis need so you are forced to set the timing...

Be more specific about your conversion. Yes, everything has been done at some point but some applications are better than others.

SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750Sx Carb Question, Keihn Vs. Mikuni

I recommend using the stock carb first while you break in the engine and learn how to tune. Get a 150 main and an 85 pilot. Open the top needle 3 turns, it should studder at WOT, lean until it cleans up. It is too easy to burn a piston with a pipe and milled head on pump gas. If you use the 46...

Hopfully I didnt just ruin my summer...

Most all engines will do that unless they are tuned very rich at idle/part throttle. I can make all my boats and bikes do it. Next time keep your head and give it full throttle for 2/3 seconds, then hit the stop button. It wont ever happen on the water.

How do you guys NOT beach your ski?

Maybe they find someone to stand in the water and hold the ski, or anchor it offshore. Such care is somewhat common until the new wears off.

Anyone heard of an opposed Piston, opposed cylinder engine? Its a two stroke.

Its just a new take on a "dense pack" engine. There were similar diesels developed for ships and airplanes 60 years ago.

Copper gasket to seal or not to seal??

Soft copper can flow around small dings in the surface but thats about all on a jetski engine. Make sure the surface is perfect and use some sealant.
