I ran that setup on a ported motor. 1 with stock 44 and then a modified TLR 44 (bottom side was bored to 46mm). Worked really well. Tons of low to mid throttle response. Not best setup for wot runs... but easy to tune.1
The screw closer to the manifold should help with tuning for low end power. The one farther away should adjust for higher RPM's. Close both. Open the closer one 1/4 turn and test. Then swap settings. Also contact ProTec. They are still in business and can send you tuning instructions.
You have no idea. You think Don is meticulous....... well, they are close.. where Don's builds are clean and practical.. Steve's are clean and insane. He has another 550sx with a PHP898 motor in it. Laydown bunn pipe....etc etc etc...
Who here still uses Tapatalk? In the process of switching site over this is one of the things left to do. Just curious if it is still needed or wanted.
I had good luck with a WSM crank a long time ago. But dealer I use to get them from trued and welded them also.... so, not average crank.... this was 2004.
