Thats more like it, the closed ends make it a good torque box. Get rid of the pivot stops since they will only rip out the bracket. Limit ropes are the best solution for over extention. The pad should provide plenty of buoyance, if anyone would use one.
There are dozens of custom poles around. Their success is/was based 100% on looks. An adjustable length pole is useful, the RRP pole is nice but expensive, heavy, and has no functional pad. It would not be difficult to improve but it would have to look "cool" for anyone to buy it. Instead of...
Nobody is collecting data so nobody really knows anything. Just buy what looks cool or whatever your favorite rider uses. You wont know any better or worse.
I missed that you have an MSD. I could not get my PET tach to work with enhancers, the numbers never made sense. My Coffman Sizzler with longer than stock cone wont rev much past 6900 at 47-48mph on glass nomatter the prop.
A freestyle ski with FI will have the most difficult time realizing an improvement over carbs. This is because the part throttle range has to be overly rich before the throttle is snapped open in order to have best response. Why try to perfectly control the mixture when it has to be wrong to...
The SJ inlet is relatively large and shaped for low speeds, very good for smaller engines. It should be widened anytime a larger diameter pump is used. The performance increase is only at very low speeds where inlet pressure is at its lowest. A great pump design trainer is in making an FX1 work...
Enhancers are known to start running poorly in their failure mode. The only way to troubleshoot them is by replacement with a known stock box. Look at all connections and grounds. Then ohm check your stator with an old fashion analog meter.
Finance is how the whole boat and PWC industry went from something that an individual had to build to a commodity. There is still no information on A/M hulls other than weight and hype. They are all over priced for what you get considering that there is no technology, only materials and labor...
I doubt that anyone here has ever installed them on a 650. Tubbies pull down whenever they are in the water. 650s can only turn on edge at low-medium speeds, tubbies can increase its entry speed.
NO THEY'RE NOT! Unless the person that measured and determined the torque/tension says so. There is a huge difference in tension between dry and lubed hardware for a given torque. The finish of the bolt face has a big effect on turning friction. Be very careful when using a torque wrench with...
Its not the easiest mod because the stock X2 trim pushes for up. Plus there is a lot of force required under power. A 750/900 ZXI trim ring and steer nozzle is the best design there is but needs an extension to clear the X2 hull. If you want to make an X2 the ultimate jumper (or even flippable)...
First bore the nozzle to at least 85mm then raise the trailing edge of the impeller .100". If thats not enough then hammer on the prop more or just send it to impros for their 13/16 mod.
I was trying to illustrate the importance of matching the pump load to the engine because it is critical for best performance. There is very little interest in doing this, the whole concept seems to be lost. Just do whatever your most respected builder or rider says and Im sure that you will be...
Look for an air leak and feel the inlet shoe where the grate bolts on. Its common for the bolts to poke through and make the pump vibrate all the time.
