Bendix..... Come to think of it, one of my Yamahas has a kawi engine, kawi pump, kawi driveshaft, kawi gas tank......all my Yamahas have a kawi start/stop switch......so, I guess a lot of stuff is swapable depending on mods.

Its one of the reasons the FX stays drier than a SJ, the stock bilge works very good

That's how the FX box mounts. All FXs have the battery/starter wires out the bottom from the factory.

Stock pump or 144?

Interesting approach. I think the loss of "extremeness" you've felt in the 144 modded FXs might be more in how the mod was accomplished vs being an issue with the 144 pump. Let us know how this works out.........what engine setup will you be running?

I wouldn't cut the harness and splice if you ever plan to ride in saltwater. A better cure would be to use a weather-pak 6 pin connecto to do the extension. That would let you pull the engine without pulling the e-box if you ever have the need.

I've seen the stock manifold milled 4mm at carb flange to lower carb/ reduce intake volume. I've also seen about 4mm removed from the base of the top half of the manifold to do same. Never tried it myself, so nothing to report on how effective this is.

It will work but is a little steep. I run a 14/19 with a ss865 Scream engine and it's just right.
