sounds like midshaft housing. i would recommend a mechanic rebuilding the housing. if you do all the work yourself seals and bearing are only 40$ or so. new housings are around 150 i think

i have a feeling something else may be wrong. you say you have the normal amount of water flowing out of the pissers still, ive gotten clogged lines and its obvious that something is restricting the flow. i ride sandy water 90% of the time too.
