Both skis are purpose built for flat water freestyle, the quality and ride of the rok-r is light years ahead of the gen2. The gen2 utilizes a bulge in the bottom of the hull to get its pop rather then rocker like other hulls, causing questionable handling characteristic's. Gen2 hulls and...

It all depends on what your looking for, for flips you want some short, wide and lots of rocker. For more of a rec ride you want something a little longer. It all comes down to personal preference. The best advice I can give you is ride before you buy!!!

No way your at 280 with 145lb sn hull and a solas mag. A 120lb rickter comes out 305, I would bet your ski weighs 320-330
