No intrusion probs here, my boat stays super dry!! I think pros use them for rapid fire freestyle tricks, don't have time for bilges in their timed routines? That's all I can think of as far as advantages go. The disadvantage list seems much longer.

I see so many members advising scuppers & one way valves, discouraging bilge pumps. I may be missing something, but why? One way/scuppers empty faster, but can leak, bilge pumps are slower, but other than that, why the preference for for the one way valves. Aesthetics?:thinking:

Runaway motor Your compression/93 octane is fine, I would be concerned about that runaway motor... when I had this happen, it turned out to be popoff/jetting/ clogged filter inside carb. If it starts running away, out of water, it could pop if you don't stop it in time. This is much more likely...

water intrusion I've had them all (skis) by far the FX-1 is the most dry. Unless you are travelling under water, you have a sealing issue somewhere.

OEM: Most air flow & cost effective/least water ingestion. Except for the most extreme riding. Extreme riding is more expensive & problematic, naturally. Finally I took off the A/M crap & bought an OEM arrestor.
