    300/440/550 pisser question

Engine cooling You need to post pictures of your water routing.... or at least a crude drawing. When your pump starts turning in water, it's providing enough pressure to send it all the way through the motor unless it's blocked by a backward gasket or valve or something. Does water come out of...

    One way valve vs. bilge

Bilge/scuppers Thanks Matt/Seats/Laserman/BK for the quick replies. I feel like I'm on team bilge for the right reason. I will look into attwood pumps, I have seen the crappy baskets from rule break alot.

    One way valve vs. bilge

No intrusion probs here, my boat stays super dry!! I think pros use them for rapid fire freestyle tricks, don't have time for bilges in their timed routines? That's all I can think of as far as advantages go. The disadvantage list seems much longer.

    One way valve vs. bilge

Speed So we are talking about gaining 25-45 seconds at the risk of not being able to dry out the boat if it stalls? I know weight can't be a factor because a bilge would prolly be lighter than the other options. Don't get me wrong, my boats are reliable, but as with any machine anything is...

    One way valve vs. bilge

I see so many members advising scuppers & one way valves, discouraging bilge pumps. I may be missing something, but why? One way/scuppers empty faster, but can leak, bilge pumps are slower, but other than that, why the preference for for the one way valves. Aesthetics?

    Builder Help/Compression Question

Runaway motor Your compression/93 octane is fine, I would be concerned about that runaway motor... when I had this happen, it turned out to be popoff/jetting/ clogged filter inside carb. If it starts running away, out of water, it could pop if you don't stop it in time. This is much more likely...

water intrusion I've had them all (skis) by far the FX-1 is the most dry. Unless you are travelling under water, you have a sealing issue somewhere.

    "Pre-filters"

OEM: Most air flow & cost effective/least water ingestion. Except for the most extreme riding. Extreme riding is more expensive & problematic, naturally. Finally I took off the A/M crap & bought an OEM arrestor.
