I have had to replace the bulb type once a season... going back to plunger. They seem to last 2-3 years before they fail. Nothing like gas in the eye from a busted bulb :ouch:

See thru hull Once the purple wore through on mine, you could make out shadows when light shines down from the top. These hulls are very tough! I like the glass bottom effect. I plan on running mine this way, If I have trouble, the bottom is glass, & very repairable.

Piston bores / fitment I have always had to provide the pistons prior to boring... I'm sure the OEM process uses standards that are fine for stock setups. Quality control on Yamaha & Kawasaki are minimal. Just enough to be dependable. LOL ( If all the sleeves are bored with the same tooling...

Parts prices Supply & demand rules this, but there is a sucker born every minute. Used parts are only worth what somebody is willing to pay. If parts are selling at elevated prices, then they must be "worth " that price. That is why I don't have a Factory pipe. (yet)
