Yes, I should be finishing up by March just in time for our season to begin. Luckily, I have that fresh LPW 735 to toss in here so at least I don't have to worry about building an engine!
Totally! I bought a 2' length hose so I could get it into the bottom of the hull, and up the handlepole a bit. The pictures are just to show the tight fit... Do you think the hose will hold up to the flexing of the handlepole and rubbing the pivot bolt? No way around that, this hose is smaller...
I’ve been making some progress! After a long conversation with Blowsion, plus some archive photos left over from John it was determined that the handlepole bracket is correct. It was designed to fit exactly as mine does. The hood latch bracket must be relocated 3/4” rearward to line up with the...
I also have first hand experience with Pro-Tec, and I can concur that their customer support is radical. I cant remember if it was Mike but I would be willing to bet that is who helped me. Its always so nice to speak with someone that you can tell genuinely cares and knows what they are talking...
Homemade aluminum handlepole bracket, will fit 1990-1995 Yamaha Superjet (square nose) looks incredibly strong but will need some work to get the hood hooks installed. I was thinking about using countersunk screws from the bottom. Nice vapor honed finish, $50 shipped.
Looks so clean, great job on the turf! Ski looks very refined and professional.
I'm gonna come ride with the Charlotte crew this year, I have a close friend that lives over that way and has a few nice older sit downs... He wants to try stand ups and I know he will be into it! Cant wait to get...
This is correct. The OEM through hull tube for a RNSJ is 2 3/8" OD with a nice flange. I opted to use a 2.5" aluminum tube in its place due to it being much less expensive. I also chose the larger size because it does not have a flange to keep the hose from sliding off. So a 2 3/8" hose will fit...
I mocked up a small tube to simulate the cable and held it in place while turning the nozzle. I held the tube up centered on the marked hole and followed the steering ball on the nozzle while turning it by hand and and watching the position. I think with the new marked hole, it will just barely...
What do people normally use to change a steering cable? Is there some kind of extended socket? Im trying to keep it in a location that will allow it to be changed without removing the pump... but it is what it is!
Just curious, what made you pick the V3 (Aquabot?) over the SV-Pro? I’m thinking of getting the SV-Pro… I want a surf ski but I haven’t ridden many smaller hulls… I know I didn’t like the Krash Footrocket haha
Do you think I might try to relocate the hole in center with the ball on top of the nozzle? The only issue I see is that it looks like the cable will interfere with the tabs that are on the side of the pump/reduction nozzle
Its hard to say without cutting the hole and installing the cable… it appears to be too much to allow full steering with trim pulled. But I’m only eyeballing it… full left with trim pulled looks bad though.
Great info! I use some nice silicone hose that would stretch over the 1/2” no problem. So, I’ll cut the 1/2” cooling tubes and use those instead.
So, I’m having some major trouble today with the steering cable holder in the pump area. I filled the old hole I had cut so I could relocate the...
I still can, I just don't feel like making a cooling distribution block haha. Does anybody just sell those? The two 1/2" lines in the side with the three 3/8" lines coming out the top? Paul said the same thing, run 1/2" lines and use a distribution block. Just cap 1 of the 3 lines out so its two...
