We have too many skis around and I have decided to sell this hull. Fully reinforced, and probably the "cleanest" SN out there. Comes with Blowsion handlepole bracket and AC racing -2 aluminum handlepole, and all other parts shown in the pictures. Ski has new RN exhaust tube, OEM Yamaha hull...
If the plates themselves are in good shape and you can re-use them you should. Cut them out very carefully and pry them from the bottom of the hull. When you get them out, there should be a pocket that they were sitting in. Add some thickened epoxy underneath them and then glass over the plate...
I actually live in a small town East of Asheville called Black Mountain. But I figure most people know where Asheville is haha. My lake that I ride is about 45 minutes away and its called Lake James. Give me a shout if you are around here again!
It seems like Krash installs the blocks with the bottom deck layup, then when the hull is removed from the mold it then gets drilled and tapped. So I guess just the threads are supposed to keep water out? I don't know but when I have installed inserts, I epoxy over the threads. Many different...
I respect your decision, however shortening your pole is only going to make the ski ride even better. I used to think -2 was perfect… until I rode a ski with a shorter pole. You can always cut it later, but myself and others are just trying to give you honest advice to save you some time in the...
I removed the tray completely and the blocks are actually long plates that go from the front hole to the rear hole. If you have stripped an insert, I would 100% heli-coil it before you try anything else. Just don't drill too deep! Before I explain too much here, take a look at this thread and it...
Krash uses 3/8" thick by 1 1/4" wide aluminum blocks for "inserts" and they work ok.
The Superjet uses M10x1.25 thread pitch inserts. They are brass and the part number is
90179-10925-00
You could also get some 464 brass block from McMaster and drill and tap it to whatever thread pitch you...
Yeah, my e-box bolts are not accessible on my SJ. But they really have no reason to be removed.. I put thread sealant on them and made em' tight.
Im just going to leave the bolts exposed on this FX-1, they will punch through the turf on the dash with a countersunk screw & finish washer
Stock FX-1 and SN exhaust tube is smaller than the RN or any aftermarket stuff. Most everyone runs a 2.5" exhaust tube although the RN tube is 2 3/8" I honestly think its a preference thing but if you're ever going to run a built engine or something with larger displacement you would benefit...
Yes I will be running a toe hold (front foot hold) The one on my Superjet is just 2 pieces of 1" underpadding glued together, then turfed and glued to the dash. It hasn't moved at all in 3 years! I might also just make a bolt in piece for this.. I have enough extra glass to do it.
