I’d say run them where they are if it appears to be factory, but even if you took them out you’re gonna be fine. Aligning the pump to the best of your ability is the important part. Funny you ask, I drilled the handlepole for it but never actually rode the ski with it on haha I only ever used stock steering on my SN because I didn’t modify the shape of the hull. I didn’t think I ever needed it with that but short or 0 degree steering on an AM hull is a must!
