Has anyone drilled a rear tow point into an FR2 hull? I am afraid to find the top and bottom decks are not bonded together in the back of the tray compromising my rear tray area but I don't particularly trust the thrust tow loops that bolt on the pump mount.
This is for towing in other peoples...
I would have concern about the amount of filler between the existing hull and the repair. If the repair work is not strong enough, it will flex differently than the inner core material (existing hull and filler material) and it will fail. I would also be worried the repair does not wrap around...
I pushed mine in, assuming that bulkhead to pump shoe distance would be the same as a Superjet and trying to resolve the distance the midshaft spacer plate created. I might flip a coin on pulling the pump back out :D
Hopefully someone here can help me out and save me some work. I completely spaced when assembling my hull to check spline engagement. Engagement on my SJ was good, I pressed the midshaft in an extra few mm to account for the Cold Fusion spacer on my bulkhead. Is it safe to think I will be fine...
