I always thought a good way to de-water a ski would be to hook it up to a vacuum generator Like one used for vacuum bagging. First you would have to fix any leaks so you could pull a strong vacuum then heat the hull up with a heat gun and all the water would boil out. If you could seal the ski...
Did you leak test your ski before closed it back up? When I did my square nose I hooked a pump up to the hole for the foot hole foam and build up some pressure then marked all the leaks, put a dab of 5200 on each then applied a vacuum. You just repeat the process until you can't find any more...
Every time I am get down to the city (philly) I see these at least 5-10 people on track bikes riding IN traffic. At red lights, if they don't just go through them, they pass all the cars on the shoulder and do a trackstand by the cross walk. When the light turns green they smoke all the cars and...
Lithium Ion batteries are pretty amazing. The Tesla roadster battery is essentially powered a bunch of laptop batteries. It's biggest issue is cooling which wouldn't be a problem in a stand up. Imagine being able to ride in areas that only allow electric powered boats. We would have so many...
those chargers are goofy. My 1 year old yusa does the same thing. They charge too fast. To go from 75% to 100% takes a long time. Mine will read 100% and when you shake the battery it will go back down again.
I converted my mountain bike to a SS for late fall early spring because of all the mud. I have never been so sore from a bike ride. I was still able to get most of the hills. It is almost impossible to get a good chainline when you convert to SS or fixie on a geared bike. You have to do lots of...
the 2008 sj already makes about the same compression your going for due to a different head gasket. You might want to consider some smaller domes to bump up the compression. Are you installing a pipe or or anything else?
The best is when a guy with an XPL, Raider or any other small 2 seater asks me "Do they Still make those?"
Then I reply "Yeah it's a 2008, what year is yours? Do they still make them?"
This stuff actually makes the epoxy thinner (less viscous) because of its lubricating properties. I'm thinking you may be able to spray it. Bubbles come to the surface alot quicker. It feels alot like mercury when you stir it, almost like there is nothing there. I Want to see some pic's of...
West systems 423 + epoxy makes a tough low friction coating. From what I understand it is ideal for a boat that gets beached. Has anyone tried it out as a bottom paint? It has to be sheered on like very thin spackle. I'm not sure if you can spray it or not but it has the consitancy of mercury...
Did you run the mod super dry? It took me forever to get the water jetting correct on mine. You have to cut almost all of the water out of the stinger. I also had to rejet. The blaster mod pipe is bigger making it run cooler. Once I had it setup it blew away my limited and dry limited in...
That works but your going to get different ratios for your right and left turns. Your also tweaking the cable alot more. If it doesn't break the cable who really cares though? All skis turn differently right and left any way, I wouldn't doubt if this makes the ski more neutral.
You can't use the outer hole at all. I tapped mine and the plate won't reach the stops because the cable hits its stops. The stock setup is maxed out as far as cable travel.
