For the girdle install, is it in fact necessary to loosen all the "cylinder to case" nuts in order to clear the new JSU nuts (4) for the corners? In doing so would that tear the stock base gasket?
There seems to be a little confusion with the people Ive spoken to on what exacltly kind of jets I need for the stock carbs on a 2004 sxr. Will 38/44/46 mm Mikuni Jets work? B/c I know the carbs are 40mm but I cant find any listings for 40mm mikuni carbs..
The ski is a 2004 and stock 40mm Mikuni's. I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out what kind of jetting would be best for rec riding with these mods.
-Dry Pipe
-JSU Girdled head 27cc domes (if the compression is too high, can I change the base gasket to lower it?)

Is everything ok with Kevin at Legdrag? I have a order with him right now and know hes quite busy busy with the move. I've called a few times and havent heard back (want to make some changes to the order). Then his voicemail is full. Seems weird for him so Im kinda wondering if everything is ok.
I have read and was told to open my factory pipe manifold to approx. 48mm to help with my engine mods. I have also read that the ealier manifolds were 42mm and the newer ones are 44mm stock from factory pipe. I just measured mine and both the manifold and headpipe are 39mm. What gives? Would...
Every engine setup is a bit different so I figured I'd just make a new thread. I'm wondering what prop would be best for freestyle/rec use? I dont need anymore highend but I also dont want this boat to over rev at high rpm's as I will be bombing around the lake with it w/ buddies.

I wanted to get your guys opions on this. I just placed a order for some VF3's and I also have a set of M16 cages that needs new petals (probably get jetworks ones) sitting here... Which provide the best performance?
I did some glass works last year with no prior experience and it showed for sure. I installed footholds and glassed them in, I had a strong feeling I wasn't doing it right... I started cutting into the tray today and there was literally a small pond in the tray. Also I attempted a yamaslut hood...
Just today I opened a dispute with paypal about a ebay auction i had won and paid for on March 5th. I wasn't getting any communication with the seller so I was getting worried. Well just now I got the package and everything all the parts were there as shown plus I got me a set of M16 reeds for...
Im wondering what your guys thoughts are on what brand intake manifold is best for the 62T? I havent looked into this area much and I really dont have a clue. Are they all pretty much the same? I'm thinking of using the Boyesen rad valves with it on a 5mm stroked 760 BB 61x. Thoughts?:thinkerg:
Just wanted to get your guy's thoughts on what I plan on doing. Also I don't have much of any good experience with glass, so methods and tips would be awesome. I have a Squarenose and plan on building it into a pretty good freeride/freestyle boat.
Here is what I have in the works for a drive...
Just such a great guy to deal with. I called, inquiring about the drysuit he sells and from start to finish the everything went smooth. Randy is a great guy and the minute you talk to him you feel like hes your best friend. He's very knowledgeable at what he does and doesn't haggle with you...
I've been calling around the engine shops and all seem to know their stuff and priced around the same.. I want to know your real opinions on them and if you know of any other places worth your recommendation. The engine will be for freestyle/rec use and get full porting for a stroked motor.
This kinda came along without much planning because I just stumbled and jumped on a sweet deal for the parts to convert a 701cc 61x cylinder to a big bore 760 61x cylinder.
The motor setup I have right now is a 62T 4mm stroker. In order to clear the extra crank throw, the domes on this motor...
