My Freak was worse than my Edge. But you have to use 2 bars (Long allen wrench or long phillips head screw drivers to compress the seal using the method you mentioned. I would be worried about not getting enough compression.

Port job would really help!!!!!!!!! 83mm is actually even better, but you are technically at the last bore at that point...... (Not recommending overbore and running 84mm)
