Scammers

If someone responds and gives a phone number. Most likely they are a scammer. Especially if they just jointed the same day or within a few days. We have no way to easily stop them. Right now, we are turning off ability to join the X. This should help some until we get something working..... buyer/seller beware.

I know this is not an end all solution, but would it be crazy to "authenticate" people joining the site before they actually get a login? Maybe no buy/sell for new users, it unlocks after so many posts or an amount of time after joining the site? Is it possible to make the buy/sell forums go through an authentication process? Like you or another admin takes a look at the ad and user before allowing the post to go public? I know this will not encourage people to join and its just more time and energy someone has to spend picking through the mess! Just a few ideas that might help. Thanks for watching out BK

My bad. I’m not a scammer but I did basically exactly what you said. I’ve been looking for a square nose and my buddy sent me the link to this website so I made an account and commented.
