    The old single coil charging systems are just barely enough to keep a battery up for average use. Kawasaki 750-800s were noticeably better but they did get hot. I remember the front cover being the hottest part of the entire engine.

    The first thing you will notice is that they have NO power, I mean a loaded UPS van will smoke it.. The second thing will be how easy they are to get on two wheels while turning right. Our city used them for meter readers, that's about all they were good for.

    You may have to settle for a stock kawasaki 650 pipe or get an over the top pipe like a protec. Kawasaki 650-750 would work with a Coffmans pipe if the chamber was lowered a little. Yamaha engines are a little wider on the exhaust side when compared to Kawasakis.

    Dump the flow control and use a restrictor. Keep the downstream temps under 180 max.

    Aluminum expands more than steel so heating a stock stator will always make it loose. Some bearing/pump combos can be tighter than others so its always a good idea to measure everything up front or you can end up with a stuck/ruined bearing. I had to make custom mandrels in order to press them...

    Solas stators must be looser now than the first batch that I got 10 years ago. Back then a lot of people were ruining bearings during installation. Im not hearing much whining lately.

    it takes liquid nitrogen on the bearings, a hot stator, and a very swift installation to work with steel on steel fits. It is often impossible to get the shaft in fast enough before it warms and jets stuck. An aluminum stator just needs 200 degrees or so depending on how tight the final fit is...

    Stock Superjet cooling line is big enough for typical applications. You may want a dedicated second line for hand warmers.

    Add some red loctite to the outside of the bearings if your crank does NOT have orange plastic bands on the bearings.. This will help prevent fretting between the bearings and the case.

    Well, if you take a high port cylinder and add a dry pipe the power comes all or nothing. Thats why everyone toggles the throttle a lot at slow speeds. A wet pipe on a stock cylinder isnt too bad.
