That bob was there first try at a vacuum infused and from what I heard it was way to thin and had to be patched when they popped it. Easy fix, add more material next time.
I don't have one, but I see how they could work. You would think that RRP could have done a better job telling people the science behind it and not just that it gives you more height.
It's not just drag. Think if you put a bunch of water in a moving stream of water, do you think it would slow down the moving stream?
edit:
experiment you can try:
Hold your hose and pour a cup of water through the stream, see if it slows it down.
You got it all wrong. it keeps lake water out of disrupting the flow not thrust water from escaping the nozzle. Don't make me find my high tech drawings :)
I thought the same thing until I was over at Crabs and he told me and it all made sense.
It "guards" the thrust your ski already makes. Water can get into the stream from the front of the turning nozzle and disrupt the flow. That is my understanding anyways.. I made some high tech drawings somewhere, lol.
Polar plunge in Florida? :silly:
I jumped in the Columbia river at midnight on new years (tradition) air temp was 20 and water was 41. It was pretty cold but the booze helped with that :trink26:
