for4 me the main consideration was being able to replace the wear ring easily and cheaply. if you do this conversion and use the wear ring with the plastic liner its only 40 when you need to replace it. either way its an improvement.

no don't do that- it will make it sloppy and ruin a good prop. I told you I can get em. I think its about 250-350. thats new bearings and seals ready for prop. used would be much cheaper if you can be sure you are getting a good one.

id say you are about right. it makes the front chine walk a good bit. as crab suggested dropping the back a bit with a dcut will help. otherwise you just have to stand further back and turn constantly to avoid the straightline wobble. or remove them.:dunno:
