    Pre 08 traction aid.

Jeremy Philips used to run a ride plate with some fins on it. I seem to only remember it high-siding the crap out of me. It would slide then a fin would bite in and off I would go. But if they were the right size it probably would have been better, and that was probably 4 years ago anyway.

    Looking for better underlayment foam

My opinion, I would not build a boat for the surf with anything less than the 25mm padding. I think I know 5 or 6 people who have broken heels in the surf. And none of them were running the 25mm pad. It is good stuff and can be easily sanded.

The new Wamiltons Wammerjet 4 stroke standup

There is another guy in Havasu putting webber motors in SXR hulls currently. I don't think they have finished one yet, but probably will soon.

cant keep umi steering nut tight??

John, I have been using the nut from Blowsion for about a year now and it has worked just fine. Just make sure you use the right size allen to tighten the little bolt. As far as the bit...I'm don't really remember the size...but small. I have a ton of those bits because I use them to drill...

cant keep umi steering nut tight??

You could also put a regular nut on the top, tighten everything down where you want it and drill a hole for a cotter pin. I did that on an old system a few years back, UMI did something similar for a while.

Anyone driving from the South West to FL any time soon?

Any chance you have room for a standup? I'm trying to get a ski to FL and can drop it off anywhere within about 350 miles of San Diego...would be happy to kick down a few hundred for gas also. The ski is probably going to ship next week anyway, but if someone is headed over and has...

Newbie looking for a ski and some advice

With all due respect to Kalwren, unless you are very knowledgeable about motors or enjoy working on them...stay away from that 550 you linked to. It is great that someone spent lots of money on the boat, etc...but that is not the ski you want to get started in the sport. I know there are...

How many skis have been completly sank? How many have been found?

Besides the two that John (227) mentioned. We lost one at a contest in Brazil two years ago, there was a little argument about there being nose foam in it or not...I think probably not. Mac, lost the one years ago in the AMCF video shoot in Oceanside that we later found washed up on the...

Freeride, Mexico - A Blowsion short by The Nascency Project

That really was a super fun trip and a great way to end an awesome year of filming. Chris is amazingly skilled behind the camera and computer. I'm really happy I had the chance to be a part of such a great project.

    Big Names Behind Electric PWC

Thanks for the link Suzi, there are lots of exciting things happening in the labs right now and it provides a good idea of what is coming 10 or so years down the road. But we have some pretty good options currently out there now. All good stuff... Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

any reports back on the Blowsion Tornado?

Chris Rosner and I did some durability testing with them. At the same time I made a dome change on my boat, so I can't speak to the power increases. But they held up great. Chris told me he felt like his boat made more power with them. He also really durability tested them when he broke a...

    Big Names Behind Electric PWC

hahaha...no real scoop to give yet. We built this proof of concept to see if the project was worth pursuing, and are working on the prototype now. But we are still a ways off.
