Dude I could ride my 750 wide open in big chop for 20 miles I loved that ski but after havin my square and my round the 750 doesn't compare... My stock round is a fun ski in it's own way and my built square is great for a big air session or a quik shore line run but there is no way you want to...
Back in the day I got to ride a 650sx that had a big 750 topend on it,pre 750 era with mrd injection but it had a 550 handpole on it...thing was an animal and you could lean the thing over and rail on it, I remember the tray was notched from front to back on both sides like a super long foot...
Yeah I had that 750 out at the canyon a few times,after trying every possible trick to make the thing ride better and riding my rn a couple times then riding the 750....sonofa beeeeep people who ride 750s wide open are nuts...
It's because yamaha parts are super expensive and hard to come by,the hulks break and take a ton of time and money to reinforce and defoam and rebuild, the stock motors suck balls and have to be modified before they are any fun to ride, the motors ting so hard that you constantly gave to wrench...
