    the tigercraft v3

Taller ports make finding decent response more difficult. Most riders go blank when it comes to pump load tuning. Thats the main reason lower port cylinders are popular.

Engine Size + Hull Recommendation for a 6'4" 225lb male??

Bigger is generally better but, do you have someone that can tune your carbs and pump?? If not you will spend your first season learning how to do that.

550sx to 750 "All or Nothing" build

Keep in mind most of the strength of any composite panel is in the direction of the fiber. It’s more difficult to take full advantage of this in our solid laminate hulls. A lot of weight can be saved if we used cored sections.

550sx to 750 "All or Nothing" build

The hull will be bending upwards in the middle under heavy loading. This means the glass added inside will be under tension so place the fiber direction 0/90 degrees. Ply direction wont matter much around the mounts since you're just adding beef there.

    A starter away....

Especially if you don’t know anything. Most people aren’t very good at gathering information and making desicions. Years ago I noticed that automotive repair customers would rather ask the salesman technical questions even when the actual mechanic was standing right next to him. It’s funny how...

FX1 Build; Wide Tray, Shortened Pole, Kawasaki 140mm Pump Swap

Opening up the exhaust won’t help if you are running a pipe. The pipe needs back pressure in order to work. The Kawasaki 140 is best if you want to keep the stock inlet. Changing the inlet and using a Yamaha 144 will make it pull harder at low speeds and prime faster in rough water. Getting the...

    Permanent Sealant Remover…..really?

There are plenty of chemicals that soften any sealant. They also eat epoxy and polyester so it’s not ideal for fiberglass boats.

SOLD New 2023 Superjet Fixed Steer Conversion.

It mainly unloads the riders back. Plus fixed steers are easier for new riders to learn.

    Nozzle shape

I did some more Kawasaki 140 nozzle testing after this thread originally posted. Started with 80mm, 82, and 85mm. Larger nozzles pulled harder. There was only a 100rpm variance and top speed was the same. It did take longer to get the last 1-2 mph with the large nozzle. I also installed a stubby...

2013 Superjet Stock Airbox Screens/Jetting Questions

I know its conventional wisdom that removing the air filter and muffler makes everything faster, even when it doesn't. Leave the flame arrestor alone, its not hurting power.

Act quick, he might change his mind!

Its just the way humans are. Wealthy people are able to cut to the front of the line and pay others to make whatever they want easy. Its looking like a handful of big spenders are all that standup skis have left. People can't stick with anything for very long, almost everyone who buys a ski is...

Congrats, it sounds like you've outlasted your peers. Electrics work okay on land based vehicles but boats and airplanes need much better batteries than we have in order to get enough run time.
