yeah... carbon is not the best of reinforcement since it has a completely different flex pattern than your fiberglass hull. The best way to do it is use a glass matt with one layer of carbon on the outside if you want for looks.

I know they can carve... 550s can carve too... it just takes some added effort... and I prefer the 08 so I opted to work a little more and just get an 08... personal preference, not bashing the pre 08...

I rode both the pre 08 and the 08... I prefer the 08... I can carve it better than a pre 08 with tubbies and when I want to release the tail it is simple by shifting weight forward to get the destroyers to grab. Then again I am coming from a stock sxr so everything I ride feels better haha

i rode Ross Champions 08 which has tubbies... They really help for doing quick snaps on the wave. By leaning a bit more foreward the second tubbie grabs and whips the tail of the ski around. i am gonna get tubbies on my 09

Hulls: I am always interested in aftermarket hulls because of rocker and the fact most are more nimble. And that more maneuvers can be accomplished with these nimble hulls. Especially in the surf. I am not so into the price of these hulls which will continue to deter me from ever buying...

I think a good way to get the sport more popularity is to have more contests... If we get more contests going then the sport will be seen by more average joes. For example... In Oceanside... unless you are a Marine in a tank or a fisherman in the harbor, you will not see guys like Ross and...

if you are ever about to get worked by a wave you could always just lift the lanyard plug thing with your fingers and ride to the outside or to shore... I have done it numerous times in some sizeable surf.

a good idea would to bolt a small Warn winch on the front of the bed... then hook it up to the ski and hit a button.... might need a small ramp or just get the nose on the tailgate, but it would be way easier than lifting a ski into the back or pushing it and safer than braping it in
