Vote once... You can pick one of options 1-3 then if you are taking someone along with you (Noncompetitor), choose the 4th option too
eg: I voted for option 1: Yes, I would compete and I also voted for option 4: I would bring at least one other person with me
I am trying to put together a Freeride Competition in Southern California and I would like to get a rough estimate of how many people would show up to the event. I need this in order to supply the cities with an economic impact estimate.
The proposed date for the event is September 22nd, 2012...
well, I surf too, so I know what surf riding is. If you have a picture or video of someone going 12 o clock and having the tail follow though please post it!!
I know it is possible to go 12 o clock on a ski, but the tail does not follow through. It seems with a shorter hull, one could be able to go 12 o clock and have the tail follow through.
That is the advantage I see in aftermarket hulls in the future.
And I doubt I ride with the wrong people...
I wish there was a hull that was short and stable enough that you could do actual snaps in a critical section. I have not seen anyone go 12 oclock on a ski and pull it off. It just does not seem possible (without huge amounts of trim) to do a tight snap like what is possible surfing. I hope...
I have the extra tubbies on my 08 and if you can get your weight forward enough for them to grab, the tail will slide. It definitely takes some extra effort compared to the pre 08, but not much.
John (227) is probably the best person you can listen to in regards to making your own tubbies.. he makes his own for his boats and they are always great looking and also perform better than any aftermarket tubbie!
If you are not afraid of the price, the Lightweight.de Revolution hull is the best all around hull. It will do everything from carve buoys to flat water backys!! And if i am not mistaken, Norbert has a 2 year crack free guarantee on all of his hulls...
Do both... I have been riding mx/ racing desert for over 10 years and I love it! Got into riding stand ups in the surf to have something like riding and surfing to do in the summer when it is too hot to ride moto. I, like everyone else have had my share of crashes/ surgeries due to riding...
How about just puting a bilge pump on the underside of you hood with a quick disconnect. so if your ski flips over, it will pump all of the water out and your ski wont sink...
The most capable hull out right now is the Lightweight Revolution hull... completely customizable.... can go from a -4 length hull to a stock length to a + 4 length hull in a matter of 5 minutes.... it is the only true all in one hull... and comes with a 2 year crack free guarantee
