Makes sense, thanks for that info. The gp800 shaft has splines in the same spot as sj. Trying to keep this a simple swap without modding parts. If i recall correctly, xft had a setback option as well. Not sure how much or with what midshaft tho...

im looking for a complete sxr 800 motor, complete minus exhaust preferably. I do have a mint 1100 (complete, stock carbs, r&d airbox, electronics, exh mani, no chamber) i can trade if someone is looking to do a swap for an 1100 sxr... will buy a sxr800 straight up too.
