I have been looking all morning and haven't been able to find a tie down strap for my skis. Specifically one with a pin that goes through the bow eye. Basically I want the pin (in attached picture) to take the place of the middle hook on the tie down strap (Attached picture).
I went ahead and traded an old truck for it (worth about $2k)

and it is very hard to find a 701 sj for under 2k
also, considering he is coming from a 440, a 550sx will be a huge power improvement and can be had for ~800 bucks
but if he wants to spend the big bucks, an sj is a great choice
a REED motor 550sx with an a new impeller will completely blow your 440 out of the water in every way.They will keep up with a 650 superjet and will be half the price.
However, a superjet is a ski that has infinite upgrade potential whereas a 550sx is about topping out in the js game.

the cylinders can be rebored a time or two as long as there is not much damage. Rebuilding these skis are a piece of cake. Is it an oily looking brown mix or a rusty looking brown mix?
A little update from my end: I will be driving my truck down with a lance camper on the back and three place ski trailer (I could bring the 4 if we need it). I have seats for 3 in the truck plus you can ride in the camper and room for two more skis on the trailer.

135 is low but runnable, you might want to consider a top end in the next couple of seasons
try starting your ski with the throttle held fully open, it sounds flooded
i wouldnt lean the carbs at all just in case you go too lean - but they do smoke a lot
youll always have at least a small stream of smoke if its properly tuned
