My experience with (6061,5052, and cast) aluminum & salt water is best to leave it bare. Polishing looks great and helps reduce porosity. Blasting is easiest for older parts that had been exposed to salt already (less work). But which ever way you go, they must be fresh water rinsed then coated...

The grey hard stuff.... E-Z carb adjustment/access hatch. For when you want to dial in your carb(s) ...... ("Oh yea...a single carb is WAY easier to tune and gets WAY better fuel economy than duals").... I don't know who said that, but on a big modified motor....it's a lie.
